Born Regal Films: Our Story

Founded by Badewa Ajibade in 2016, Born Regal Films started off with innovative small to zero-budget short films, necessity being very much the mother of her invention. Over the years, the company has grown to produce bigger-budget short and feature projects; however, staying true to its original objective to focus more on the impact of the content rather than the size of the project.

Born Regal Films produces artistic and subversive narratives without being beholden to major studios or distribution platforms, something she prides herself on. From 2016 till date, we have been celebrating African narratives through bold storytelling, all exclusively developed and produced in-house.
